Ways used to form and promote cooperation between Tanzania and other African countries

1. Holding neighbourhood conferences and symposia. Countries can establish cooperation in activities which promote good culture. For instance, the heads of states can invite each other to attend conferences and cultural festivals. Through these invitations, visitors learn the culture of the host country.
2. Meeting and participating in various sports and competitions. Sports can be used to establish and promote cooperation between Tanzania and other African countries. Tanzania strengthens cooperation with her neighbouring countries by paying visits to each other and playing friendly or competitive international matches. Sports such as football, netball, volleyball, athletics, and darts promote love and welfare between partner countries. Similarly, sports strengthen friendship, unity and solidarity between member states. Considering these sports, the heads of states see the need to establish cooperation between them.
3. Selling and buying goods and services from neighbouring countries. It is a common practice for neighbouring countries to establish commercial relations. Tanzania for example, can sell electricity to the neighbouring countries. By selling products to other countries, the country may get foreign currencies. These currencies can be used to promote economic and social development like industrialisation, social and physical infrastructures. All these may further strengthen cooperation among the partner countries.
4. Consolidation and assistance to human needs during national disasters. When the country is hit by disasters such as floods, earthquakes, drought and hurricanes, neighbouring countries console the citizens of the affected country. Apart from consoling them, they give them assistance in the form of food, medicine, shelter, and building equipment. This good act of assistance helps to build and promote cooperation between the countries as well as between their citizens.
