Procedure for providing first aid to a snakebite victim

1. Calm the victim.

   • Keep the victim calm and stress-free. This helps reduce blood pressure, which can slow the spread of the poison.
   • If possible, identify the type of snake or observe its color. This will assist medical professionals in treating the victim.

2. Remove tight clothing. Remove any tight clothing, belts, or rings from the bitten body part to prevent swelling.

3. Clean the wound.
