Marriage is a relationship between husband and wife or a ceremony in which two people are married to each other. The type, function, and characteristics of marriages vary from culture to culture, and can change over time.

There are two types of marriage:

1. Civil marriage
2. Religious marriage

Types of marriage relationships

1. Monogamy is a marriage to one partner.
2. Polygamy when a man is married to more than one wife at a time.
3. Polyandry when a woman is married to more than one husband at a time.

Marriage terms

1. Groom is a man who is getting married.
2. Bride is a woman who is getting married.
3. Wedding ring is a ring worn by a man and woman who are getting married.
4. Wedding cake is a cake prepared for the wedding celebration.
