Types of control account

There are mainly two types of control accounts, as discussed below.

i. Sales ledger control account:

Sales ledger control account is also known as a debtor control account or Trade debtor control account. It explains the total trade debtors of a business entity at a specific given period. Further, it elaborates the total amount owed by all customers in a given time frame.
