Necessary requirements of living things

Living things require water, heat, air and light for their survival.

1. Water: Water is crucial for all living organisms. It is involved in many biological processes, such as nutrient transport, temperature regulation, and waste removal. All living things need water to carry out metabolic activities.

2. Heat (Temperature): Heat or the right temperature range is necessary for chemical reactions to take place within cells. Different organisms thrive in specific temperature ranges, and temperature influences metabolism and growth.

3. Air: Air provides oxygen, which is vital for respiration in most living organisms. Plants also require carbon dioxide for photosynthesis. The balance of gases in the air is essential for survival.

4. Light: Light, especially sunlight, is necessary for photosynthesis in plants, which produces food for the plants and, indirectly, for animals. Light also influences the behavior of animals and the growth patterns of plants.
