National Culture
National culture is the foundation of citizens' lives and development. It promotes unity among different tribes of Tanzania.
The Kiswahili language
Kiswahili is one of our national identities. Kiswahili is our national language. It is used as the medium of communication by almost all Tanzanians. Therefore, you are supposed to use it when communicating with your friends.
Valuing the national currency
The Tanzanian national currency is also a national symbol. It is referred to as the shilling. The Tanzanian shilling is available in form of banknotes and coins. We are required to value our currency.
Consider the following actions.
- A pupil has drawn a cartoon on a thousand-shilling banknote.
- A child holds a thousand-shilling banknote in his or her wet hands.
- A child has dried his or her hands before holding a five thousand shilling banknote.
- A child folds a ten thousand shilling banknote before keeping it in his pocket
